Listeria Bacteria Found in Gad Dairy Camembert Cheese; Product Recalled
The Ministry of Health announced that Gad Dairy is recalling its "Camembert - Ripe Cheese with White Mold 33% Fat" product with an expiration date of July 7, 2026. The recall was initiated following tests by the French manufacturer, which detected Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.
The Ministry of Health provided specific details about the affected product: 130-gram packaging, expiration date September 7, 2026, batch number BFBN, manufacturer Sasos Paturages Comtois, importer Gad Dairy, and barcode 7290019635208.
Consumers who possess the product are urged to refrain from consuming it. The Ministry of Health stated that Listeria monocytogenes can cause illness in high-risk populations, including individuals with weakened immune systems, the elderly, and can lead to miscarriages in pregnant women.
