The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that it had eliminated three Hamas Nukhba operatives in Gaza last week, including one involved in the abduction of Israeli civilians from Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7th massacre. According to the IDF spokesperson, an Israeli Air Force strike in southern Gaza last Thursday killed Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, a Nukhba operative who participated in the kidnapping of several Israeli civilians, including Alexander Danzig of Kibbutz Nir Oz, during the attack. The IDF stated that Baraka also assisted in holding numerous hostages in southern Gaza during the war, including Nimrod Cohen.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza on Friday, the IDF eliminated two more Hamas operatives: Omar Awatsallah, a Nukhba squad commander, and Motaz Mahmoud Muhammad Alnamr, a Nukhba operative. The military reported that throughout the war, and particularly recently, these operatives were engaged in advancing terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and in restoring Hamas's capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire.
The IDF confirmed that the three were killed in aerial strikes aimed at neutralizing the threat they posed.
