The Israeli military (IDF) announced the elimination of three Hamas Nukhba unit militants in the Gaza Strip. Last week, an airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip killed Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad Baraka, who participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz and the abduction of Israelis, including Alexander Danzig. The IDF stated that Baraka was also involved in holding hostages, such as Nimrod Cohen, during the war.
Additionally, on Friday, two other Hamas militants were killed in an airstrike in northern Gaza. These included Omar Awadallah, commander of the Nukhba unit, and another militant, Mutaz Mahmoud Muhammad al-Namr. The IDF claims that these militants were involved in preparing attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and in rebuilding Hamas's military capabilities, violating ceasefire terms.
