One of the eliminated terrorists, Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, participated in the kidnapping of Israeli civilians from Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7th massacre. He was also involved in holding additional hostages, including Nimrod Cohen, during the war. Baraka was killed in a strike in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza, Omar Awatsallah, a Nukbba squad commander, and Mutaz Mahmoud Muhammad al-Nimr, another Nukbba terrorist in Hamas's military wing, were eliminated. The IDF stated that these three operatives had been actively working to advance terror plots against Israeli security forces and civilians throughout the war. Recently, they were engaged in rebuilding Hamas's capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire.
