The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this week that it had eliminated three Hamas Nukhba operatives in recent strikes in the Gaza Strip. One of the eliminated terrorists, Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, participated in the kidnapping of several Israeli civilians, including Alexander Dantziger of Kibbutz Nir Oz, during the October 7th massacre. Baraka also aided in holding numerous hostages during the war, including Nimrod Cohen, in southern Gaza.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza over the weekend, the IDF killed two more Hamas operatives: Omar Awaisallah, identified as a Nukhba battalion commander, and Mutaz Mahmoud Muhammad Alnamar, a Nukhba terrorist. The military stated that these terrorists were eliminated from the air to neutralize the threat they posed.
The IDF noted that these operatives had been advancing terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire. The strikes were conducted to remove the threat they represented.
