Bnei Sakhnin Players' Cars Attacked After Match Against Maccabi Netanya

Following a football match between Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Netanya, several vehicles belonging to Bnei Sakhnin players and fans were attacked. Among those targeted was the car of player Iyad Abu Abid, who was inside the vehicle with his pregnant wife during the assault. Abu Abid managed to avoid direct confrontation and later was summoned by the police to provide testimony regarding the incident. Another player, Ilai Hajaj, also had his car attacked, along with a vehicle carrying a group of Bnei Sakhnin supporters.

The club described the events as serious and alarming, emphasizing the potential for severe physical harm. Bnei Sakhnin condemned all forms of violence both inside and outside football stadiums and called on the Israeli police and relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure they face legal consequences. The incident occurred on August 24, 2026, immediately after the match concluded.

The club's statement highlighted the gravity of the situation, noting the risk posed to individuals' safety and the need for strict measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
