Bnei Sakhnin Claims Players' and Fans' Cars Attacked After Maccabi Netanya Match

Bnei Sakhnin issued an unusual statement on Monday evening alleging that several vehicles belonging to the club's players and fans were attacked shortly after their 0-0 draw against Maccabi Netanya. The incidents reportedly occurred just tens of meters from the Maim Stadium, where the teams had separated after the match. The club expressed deep concern over the serious event, emphasizing the proximity to the stadium and the potential danger involved.

According to Bnei Sakhnin, among those affected was player Iyad Abu Abid, whose car was attacked while his pregnant wife was inside. The club stated that Abu Abid attempted to distance himself from the confrontation and avoid escalation. Subsequently, he was stopped by police and summoned to the station the following day to provide testimony and assist in the investigation.

The club also reported that this was not an isolated incident, noting that the car of player Ilai Hajaj and a vehicle carrying a group of Bnei Sakhnin fans, including a medical student, were also attacked. Bnei Sakhnin warned of the serious and worrying nature of these events, which could have resulted in severe harm. They condemned all forms of violence inside and outside football venues.

The club called on the Israeli police and relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the incidents, identify those responsible, and ensure they face legal consequences. They urged the public and fans to act responsibly, avoid violence, and maintain a normal and supportive football atmosphere.
