Former Labor Party Chair Shelly Yachimovich Reveals Pancreatic Cancer Battle

Shelly Yachimovich, former chairwoman of Israel's Labor Party, disclosed that she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer eight months ago. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor shortly after diagnosis, which was fortunately caught at an early stage without metastasis. Since the operation, multiple CT scans have shown no signs of the tumor returning or the disease recurring. Despite this positive progress, Yachimovich is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy every two weeks as a precautionary measure against the aggressive nature of pancreatic cancer. She shared her experience publicly to raise awareness about the challenges of fighting this disease.
