Grandson of Rabbi Shalom Arush Drowns During Family Vacation in Mexico

A tragic accident occurred when the four-year-old grandson of Rabbi Shalom Arush, Shalom Seginer, drowned in a swimming pool while on a family vacation in Mexico. Local rescue teams performed prolonged resuscitation efforts on the child but ultimately declared him dead. Shalom was the son of Rabbi Asaf and Rivka Seginer and the grandson of Rabbi Shalom Arush, head of the "Thread of Kindness" institutions.

The family released a statement mourning the loss, saying, "Blessed is the True Judge. Our home has been struck with the painful news of the passing of the pure child Shalom Seginer, son of Rabbi Asaf and Rivka, grandson of the esteemed Rabbi Shalom Arush. Only four years old, he ascended pure and innocent. May God comfort us and heal our broken hearts."

This incident follows another fatal drowning in Israel just two days earlier, when a toddler around 18 months old drowned in a private pool in Ashkelon despite extended resuscitation attempts by emergency medical teams. Medical and safety experts continue to stress the critical need for constant supervision of young children around water, as drownings can happen very quickly.

Rabbi Arush has previously spoken about the dangers of drowning and the importance of vigilance, highlighting the devastating consequences such accidents have on families.
