Four-Year-Old Israeli Boy Drowns in Hotel Pool During Mexico Vacation

Shalom Seginer, a four-year-old boy from Jerusalem and grandson of Rabbi Shalom Arush, a leading Breslov Hasidic rabbi in Israel, tragically drowned on Saturday in a hotel pool in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. The child fell into the pool while vacationing with his family. Upon receiving the report, ZAKA's international unit immediately coordinated with Mexican authorities to assist the family. Although Mexican officials requested an autopsy, the family prevented the procedure and the boy's body was released. ZAKA continues to support the family and is working with relevant parties to complete necessary procedures and arrange for the boy's body to be flown back to Israel for burial as soon as possible. The Israeli embassy in Mexico is also involved in facilitating the repatriation process.
