Four-Year-Old Grandson of Rabbi Shalom Arush Drowns During Family Vacation in Mexico

A tragic accident struck the family of Rabbi Shalom Arush, founder of the 'Thread of Kindness' institutions, when his four-year-old grandson, Shalom Seginer, drowned in a swimming pool during a family vacation in Mexico. Shalom, the son of Rabbi Asaf and Rivka Seginer, was found unresponsive in the pool. Local rescue teams performed prolonged resuscitation efforts but ultimately declared him dead.

The family is currently working urgently to bring Shalom's body back to Israel for burial in the Holy Land. In a family statement, they expressed their grief, saying, "Blessed is the True Judge. Death has entered our home with the sad news of the passing of the pure child Shalom Seginer, son of Rabbi Asaf and Rivka, grandson of the esteemed Rabbi Shalom Arush. Only four years old, he ascended pure and innocent. May God comfort us and heal our broken hearts."

Rabbi Shalom Arush is a prominent figure known for his efforts in Jewish outreach and repentance. This drowning tragedy adds to a recent series of similar incidents affecting the ultra-Orthodox community during the summer break, including the recent drowning death of a one-and-a-half-year-old girl in a private pool in Ashkelon and several other drowning cases both in Israel and abroad.
