Four-Year-Old Israeli Boy Drowns in Mexican Hotel Pool, Family Assisted by ZAKA

A tragic incident occurred in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, where a four-year-old Israeli boy drowned in a hotel swimming pool on Saturday. Local medical teams responded promptly but were forced to declare the child dead at the scene. The boy was with his family at the time of the accident.

Following the incident, Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the international unit of ZAKA, a rescue and recovery organization, have been assisting the family. ZAKA is actively coordinating with Mexican authorities to complete the necessary procedures to repatriate the boy's body to Israel for burial.

Yossi Landau, commander of ZAKA's Lachish region, stated that from the moment they received the report, they have been supporting the family and facilitating all required arrangements. After the child's body was released without an autopsy, efforts are ongoing to expedite his return to Israel as soon as possible.
