Seven Charged in Jerusalem Airbnb Murder of Benyahu Razi

This Friday, indictments were filed against Agam Sarfi and Shilat Huta at the Jerusalem District Court, charging them with the murder of Benyahu Razi in a Jerusalem Airbnb apartment. Both face life imprisonment according to the indictment, which details a chilling sequence of events leading to the killing. Last week, the detention of Sarfi, Linor Sasson, Shilat Huta, Avior Sasson, and a minor suspect was extended. Another suspect was released under restrictive conditions after a court hearing.

During the proceedings, messages sent by Sarfi to one of the suspects before the murder were revealed, including statements such as "You said Shilat and I are whores, right? Come see what whores do" and "I'll show you how to deal with kids like you." It emerged that Sarfi had orchestrated the murder with the group, including Linor Sasson and her son Avior Sasson, the main suspect who ultimately stabbed Razi to death. Sarfi reportedly incited the group by saying, "They took our phones, punish them," and while gathering weapons like bats, knives, and a hammer in Sarfi's living room, she declared, "I'll finish him, he dies today."

Avior Sasson was arrested the day before the indictment after a two-and-a-half-week manhunt. Investigations uncovered that during his escape, he hid in various locations across central and northern Israel. He was apprehended in the Harel Tunnel en route to Jerusalem by police special forces with aerial support.
