Israeli Authorities Charge Seven in Meticulously Planned Jerusalem Airbnb Murder

Israeli prosecutors are filing serious murder charges against seven suspects involved in the brutal killing of Benyahu Razi on July 11 at an Airbnb apartment in Jerusalem's Nahalat neighborhood. The investigation revealed a premeditated attack involving weapons such as a hammer, knives, and a live video broadcast of the assault. The suspects showed no remorse during police interrogations.

The incident began when two young women, Agam Tzarfati and Shilat Huta, rented the Airbnb for the weekend and fled the apartment on Sunday afternoon, claiming they had been attacked. They sought refuge at Linor Sasson's home, where the group armed themselves and planned the attack on Razi. Sasson then drove seven individuals, including four males and the two women, to the apartment, during which threats were made against Razi and his friend Matanya.

Upon arrival, the four males violently assaulted Razi and Matanya while Agam and Linor watched and directed the attack via a continuous live video call. Matanya was also stabbed but survived and attempted to provide emergency aid to Razi, who died at the scene. Police initially detained Matanya but later released him after confirming he was a victim.

Following the attack, Sasson helped the suspects flee, first dropping off the women and later returning to pick up the men. Police arrested six suspects within three hours, while one, Aviaor Sasson, fled and remains sought. Evidence includes screenshots from the live video call, text messages, and footage of the suspects' arrival and escape. The murder weapon remains missing.

Police noted injuries on both the female and male participants, indicating a complex and troubled relationship preceding the murder. A total of 15 individuals were investigated. Rotem Hila Zion, head of investigations in the Jerusalem district, emphasized that while charges were filed against seven, investigations continue against others involved.
