Israeli Authorities Charge Seven in Jerusalem Airbnb Murder After Detailed Investigation

Israeli prosecutors are filing serious murder charges against seven suspects involved in the brutal killing of Benyahu Razi in a Jerusalem Airbnb apartment in the Nahalat neighborhood on July 11. The investigation revealed a premeditated attack involving weapons such as a hammer and knives, with the murder broadcast live via a video call. The suspects showed no remorse during police interrogations.

The incident began when Agam Tzarfati and Shilat Huta rented the Airbnb for the weekend. After claiming they were attacked, they fled to Linor Sasson's home, where a group quickly armed themselves and planned the assault. Sasson then drove seven people, including four boys and the two girls, to the apartment. During the trip, the group issued threats against Razi and his friend Matanya, who fled the apartment but returned briefly to retrieve personal items.

Upon arrival, the four boys violently attacked Razi and Matanya while Tzarfati and Sasson watched and coordinated the assault via live video. Matanya, who was also stabbed, tried to save Razi and called emergency services. Police initially detained Matanya but later released him as a victim. Sasson helped the attackers escape by driving them away and later returned to pick up the others. One suspect, Aviaor Sasson, fled and remains at large.

Police arrested six suspects within three hours of the murder and continue efforts to apprehend Aviaor Sasson. Evidence includes screenshots from the live video, text messages, and surveillance footage. The murder weapon remains missing. Police noted injuries on both the female and male suspects, indicating a complex and troubled relationship prior to the killing. A total of 15 people were investigated. Police spokeswoman Rotem Hila Zion emphasized that all involved will be held accountable as legal proceedings continue.
