Sara Netanyahu Sues Former Employee Alleging Revenge Campaign and Illegal Surveillance

Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has filed a lawsuit against her former residence employee, Yechiel Oheb Ami, accusing him of conducting an illegal surveillance campaign and collecting confidential information. The lawsuit was submitted on Thursday, about a week after Oheb Ami filed a complaint against her, alleging workplace harassment during his tenure at the Prime Minister's residence.

According to the lawsuit, filed by attorney Uriel Hor Nizri, Oheb Ami began secretly photographing inside the residence from his first days on the job, violating a confidentiality agreement. The suit claims he intruded aggressively into Sara Netanyahu's private life, took photos inside a secured government facility, gathered information, and used it for blackmail and defamation purposes. It further alleges that after his dismissal and rejection of his request to return to work, Oheb Ami initiated a premeditated "revenge campaign" in cooperation with a journalist from Channel 12 news.

The lawsuit describes all allegations made by Oheb Ami against Sara Netanyahu as "complete and malicious lies," accusing him of fabricating stories to extort money and media attention. In contrast, Oheb Ami's complaint last week stated he performed his duties diligently but suffered severe harassment from Sara Netanyahu, allegedly supported by her supervisors, and claimed he was dismissed without just cause after falling out of favor with her.

This legal battle highlights ongoing tensions within the Prime Minister's residence staff and raises questions about workplace conduct and privacy violations in a high-profile government setting. The cases are expected to proceed through the Israeli legal system, with both parties maintaining strong opposing claims.
