Sara Netanyahu Sues Former Employee for Secret Filming and Defamation

Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has filed a lawsuit against her former residence employee, Yechiel Ohev Ami, at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court. The suit alleges that Ohev Ami secretly recorded activities inside the Prime Minister's residence in violation of a confidentiality agreement he signed. According to the complaint, these recordings were part of a premeditated plan to defame Sara Netanyahu after his dismissal and rejection of his request to return to work.

The lawsuit accuses Ohev Ami of conducting a "calculated revenge campaign" involving the unauthorized dissemination of private information, photos, and videos to journalists from Channel 12 news. It describes his actions as an invasive breach of privacy, theft of information, and use of materials for media and financial blackmail. The complaint rejects all allegations made by Ohev Ami against Sara Netanyahu, including claims of violence, mistreatment of staff, and unusual conduct within the residence, labeling them as "complete lies," "malicious blood libels," and "conspiratorial fabrications."

Sara Netanyahu is seeking at least 500,000 shekels in damages, a court order prohibiting further use of the materials by Ohev Ami, and a mandate for a public correction or apology. The lawsuit emphasizes the severity of the privacy violation and damage to her reputation and security, calling for a strong legal response.
