Sara Netanyahu Sues Former Aide for Defamation Over Secret Filming Allegations

Sara Netanyahu, wife of the Israeli Prime Minister, has filed a defamation lawsuit against her former residence employee, Yechiel Ohev Ami. The suit, submitted through her attorney Uriel Hor Nizri, accuses Ohev Ami of secretly filming inside the Prime Minister's residence from his first day on the job, stealing information, and spreading false and malicious claims. According to the lawsuit, Ohev Ami planned from the outset to harm her by illegally recording inside the residence, violating confidentiality agreements, and invading her private life.

The complaint further alleges that after Ohev Ami was dismissed and his request to return to work was denied, he embarked on a calculated revenge campaign. This campaign allegedly involved collaboration with a journalist from Channel 12 news to conduct a media and financial extortion effort. Sara Netanyahu categorically denies all accusations made by Ohev Ami, describing them as "complete and malicious lies" and "conspiratorial fabrications" with no basis in reality.

This legal action follows a recent labor court claim filed by Ohev Ami against the Prime Minister's Office, seeking 300,000 shekels in compensation. In that claim, he accused Sara Netanyahu of severe mistreatment, including shouting, humiliation, and unreasonable demands leading to his dismissal. The Prime Minister's Office rejected these allegations, stating he was fired for poor performance and that his lawsuit is an expression of grievance. As of now, Ohev Ami has not responded to Sara Netanyahu's defamation suit, and no defense has been filed.
