Two Israeli Reservists Killed in South Lebanon Bombing, Four Wounded
The IDF spokesperson announced the names of two Israeli reservists killed in a bombing incident in southern Lebanon. Lieutenant Colonel (res.) Harel Birenstock, 34, from the West Bank settlement of Nokdim and a company commander in the 2855th Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade, and Staff Sergeant (res.) Tamir Vaknin, 33, from Eilat and a fighter in the same battalion, died in an explosion in the town of Majdal Zun. Four additional reservist soldiers were injured in the attack and were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment.
