Security Guard Assaults Football Fans with Metal Rod During Toto Cup Match

During the halftime break of the Toto Cup match between Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Netanya at HaMoshava Stadium in Petah Tikva, a violent altercation erupted in the stands between fans and security personnel. One security guard was seen striking a fan on the head with a metal rod, causing the fan to suffer a head injury and be taken to the hospital in mild condition. Other security guards fled as the crowd of fans became aggressive, prompting police intervention to regain control of the situation.

Police reported that the fight broke out while players and referees were in the locker rooms. Officers quickly intervened, detained several suspects involved in the incident, and restored order so the match could continue. The police commander present at the stadium took over management of the event from the sports event manager. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
