Massive Brawl Erupts at Petah Tikva Stadium During Hapoel vs. Maccabi Match

A large-scale fight broke out on August 5 at the Shlomo Biton Stadium in Petah Tikva during halftime of the Toto Cup match between Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Netanya. The conflict began when security personnel asked Hapoel fans to leave a stage area that had previously been approved for the fan organization leaders. The fans refused, insisting they had permission to be there, which led to verbal insults and escalating tensions.

The situation quickly turned violent as a small group of Maccabi fans physically attacked the security staff with punches. In response, a security guard broke a chair over one fan, and another security official struck a fan in the head with a baton. Following the brawl, three security personnel were arrested, and investigators demanded identification from the stadium's security management.

This incident disrupted the Toto Cup match and raised concerns about crowd control and security measures at the stadium. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the events that led to the violent outbreak.
