Massive Brawl Erupts at Petah Tikva Stadium During Hapoel vs. Maccabi Match

A large-scale fight broke out on August 5 at the Shlomo Biton Stadium in Petah Tikva during halftime of the Toto Cup match between Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Netanya. The conflict began when security personnel asked Hapoel fans to leave a stage area that had previously been approved for the fan organization leaders. The fans refused, insisting they were permitted to be there, which led to verbal abuse from the security staff and escalated tensions.

The confrontation quickly turned physical, with several fans punching security guards. In response, one security guard broke a chair over a fan, and another struck a fan in the head with a baton. Following the violent incident, three security personnel were arrested, and investigators demanded identification from the stadium's security management. The incident has raised concerns about stadium security and crowd control during sporting events in Israel.
