Security Guard Arrested for Involvement in Stadium Brawl at Petah Tikva Football Match

A security guard in his twenties from Abu Ghosh was arrested on Thursday for allegedly participating in a brawl and assaulting fans with an iron rod during a football match at HaMoshava Stadium in Petah Tikva. The incident occurred during halftime of the game between Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Netanya, when a fight broke out between several Hapoel Petah Tikva fans and civilian security personnel stationed around the pitch. One person sustained minor injuries in the melee. The arrested guard was brought before the court, which extended his detention until Sunday as the investigation continues. Another security guard was questioned at the Petah Tikva police station yesterday but was released after interrogation. Authorities are still searching for the arrested guard, who reportedly fled the scene after the incident.
