Police Investigate Multiple Leads in Eldar Dayan Disappearance, Suspect He Is Fleeing

Israeli police are actively investigating several leads in the disappearance of 23-year-old Eldar Dayan. Authorities are considering the possibility that Dayan was kidnapped for criminal reasons or that he was involved in a hit-and-run accident and has since fled. A police source told N12 that the assessment that Dayan is currently on the run is gaining strength, and all options remain open.

As part of the investigation, a shirt believed to belong to Dayan was found in Petah Tikva, near the location where the vehicle he was reportedly in with friends was discovered 12 days ago. Dayan's mother, Shilat Naim, expressed her fear that someone might be holding her son but noted that police are confident he is alive and have leads supporting this belief.

Meanwhile, the Beersheba Magistrate's Court extended the detention of Maksim Braverman, a friend of Dayan and a suspect in the hit-and-run and obstruction of justice case, by six days. The police had requested a ten-day extension, stating that Braverman's initial statements contradicted other evidence and that the investigation is still in its early stages.
