Clothing Items Linked to Missing Dimona Man Eldar Isaac Dayan Found Near Petah Tikva
Clothing items believed to belong to Eldar Isaac Dayan, a 23-year-old man missing for ten days, were discovered on Tuesday by municipal patrol and Petah Tikva police officers alongside a road in Petah Tikva. These items have been sent for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation led by the Southern District police at the Dimona station.
The case took a significant turn when two of Dayan's friends were arrested for questioning after allegedly providing conflicting accounts about the circumstances of his disappearance. Dayan was last seen on July 17 near Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv. On July 18, police received a report about an abandoned vehicle near a gas station in Petah Tikva, where witnesses saw several suspects removing the license plate and fleeing the scene.
Police and traffic investigators arrived promptly and found the vehicle with a shattered windshield and bloodstains inside, raising suspicions of a traffic accident. Forensic investigators were also called to collect evidence from the scene. Earlier on Tuesday, police issued a public appeal for assistance in locating Dayan.
