Israeli Prison Officer and Inmate Suspected of Helping Murder Suspect Evade Arrest

An Israeli Prison Service officer and an inmate have been arrested on suspicion of aiding Aviur Sasson, the main suspect in the murder of Benyahu Razi in Jerusalem's Nahalat neighborhood, to evade law enforcement. The inmate involved is Sasson's brother. Authorities suspect that a romantic relationship developed between the officer and the inmate while she was serving at the detention facility where he was held. The inmate is currently serving a sentence for running a loan sharking and extortion network. It is alleged that through this relationship and the use of the officer's mobile phone, the inmate helped his brother hide and escape from the police.
