Israeli Prison Officer Arrested for Assisting Suspect in Benyahu Razi Murder Case Escape

A significant development occurred in the investigation of Benyahu Razi's murder with the arrest of a 34-year-old Israeli prison officer suspected of obstructing the investigation and breaching trust. The officer, serving at a central Israel detention facility, allegedly had a romantic relationship with the brother of the main suspect, Aviaor Sasson, who is currently serving a prison sentence and is at large. Authorities believe this relationship was used to help Sasson evade capture.

The arrest was made following a covert investigation conducted by the Crime Fighting Unit in the Zion district and the Israel Prison Service investigators. The police emphasized that the manhunt for Sasson continues intensively, with ongoing operational and intelligence efforts to locate and arrest him.

The suspect officer was taken for questioning at the Crime Fighting Unit in Jerusalem. Police stated that a decision regarding her potential court hearing will be made after the investigation concludes.
