Prison Guard Suspected of Smuggling Contraband into Central Israel Prison
A prison guard serving at a correctional facility in central Israel is suspected of involvement in smuggling prohibited materials into the prison. The suspicion arose following an intelligence operation by the Israel Prison Service (IPS). The findings of this operation have been transferred to the Israel Police for further investigation.
The IPS stated that they view the incident with great severity and will act with zero tolerance for any deviation from ethical standards. The investigation is ongoing.
