Israeli Goalkeeper Omri Glazer Returns to Maccabi Haifa After Three Seasons in Serbia

Omri Glazer, the Israeli national team goalkeeper, arrived in Israel overnight between Monday and Tuesday to finalize his signing with Maccabi Haifa. After spending three seasons with Red Star Belgrade, Glazer is set to undergo medical tests before officially rejoining Maccabi Haifa, where he previously played from 2016 to 2021. This will be his second stint at the club and his third season working under coach Barak Bachar, who initially brought him to Red Star and is now bringing him back to Haifa. Glazer's salary is expected to be 400,000 euros per season.

In related transfer news, Georgi Yermakov, last season's first-choice goalkeeper for Maccabi Haifa, is set to be sold to Ukrainian club Metalist Kharkiv for 3 million euros, with Haifa retaining 15 percent of any future transfer fee. Glazer is expected to start in goal for Maccabi Haifa's Toto Cup match against Hapoel Haifa this coming Saturday. Additionally, American-Serbian forward Andrea Novakovic is also expected to officially join the club soon.
