Maccabi Haifa Signs Goalkeeper Omri Glazer and Forward Andrea Novakovich

Maccabi Haifa announced the signing of goalkeeper Omri Glazer and Serbian-American forward Andrea Novakovich on Tuesday. Glazer, who previously played for Maccabi Haifa from 2016 to 2021 with 58 appearances, returns to the club on a three-year contract bringing extensive European experience. After signing, Glazer expressed his happiness to return to the club where his career began, saying he is excited to wear the green jersey again and give his all for the team.

In a related move, the club’s previous first-choice goalkeeper, Georgi Yarmakov, is set to transfer to Metalist Kharkiv in Ukraine for approximately 3 million euros. Novakovich, 29, passed his medical tests and signed a two-year deal with Maccabi Haifa. He has played in England, the Netherlands, and Italy’s Serie B, and has three appearances for the U.S. national team. Novakovich said he is excited to join a big club like Maccabi Haifa and looks forward to contributing to the team’s success.

Additionally, forward Trebanté Stewart, who played for Maccabi Haifa last season, has been loaned for one year to Turkish Süper Lig club Gaziantep, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
