Israeli Goalkeeper Omri Glazer Officially Signs Three-Year Deal with Maccabi Haifa

Maccabi Haifa has officially announced the signing of Israeli national team goalkeeper Omri Glazer on a three-year contract. Glazer, who developed at Maccabi Haifa and played there from 2016 to 2021 with 58 appearances, returns to the club after a successful stint in Europe with Red Star Belgrade. During his three seasons in Serbia, Glazer made 51 appearances and won three league titles and three national cups.

The Israeli club agreed to pay approximately 300,000 euros to Red Star Belgrade for the transfer. Glazer's salary at Maccabi Haifa will be among the highest on the team, around 400,000 euros annually. Meanwhile, the club's previous first-choice goalkeeper, Georgi Yarmakov, is expected to leave for Metalist Kharkiv in Ukraine for a transfer fee of about 3 million euros.

Glazer's reduced playing time last season coincided with the departure of coach Barak Bachar, who had managed him in 2023 but was dismissed after failing to meet club expectations. Glazer's return is seen as a significant reinforcement for Maccabi Haifa ahead of the upcoming season.
