Maccabi Haifa to Pay Red Star Belgrade €300,000 for Goalkeeper Omri Glazer

Omri Glazer, the goalkeeper, is set to arrive in Israel in the coming days after finalizing terms with Maccabi Haifa. He is expected to earn around €400,000 per season, excluding bonuses. The transfer was facilitated after Maccabi Haifa entered negotiations, as Glazer initially sought to leave Red Star Belgrade independently. Red Star, which owed him money, demanded compensation for his release. Ultimately, Maccabi Haifa agreed to pay an estimated €300,000 to complete the deal.

Glazer has been training with Red Star Belgrade and is reportedly in good shape ahead of the Toto Cup matches scheduled for the upcoming weekend. In a related development, Maccabi Haifa is close to finalizing the sale of Giorgi Yermakov to Metalist Kharkiv. The club insisted on retaining a percentage of any future transfer fees, a strategy previously used in the sales of Anan Khalaily and Lissab Issat. Maccabi Haifa expects Yermakov to be sold for a higher amount in the future and hopes to benefit financially from subsequent transfers. The club anticipates earning close to €3 million from this deal.
