Maccabi Haifa Awaits Goalkeeper Omri Glazer's Release Amid Transfer Negotiations
Maccabi Haifa is currently in a crucial phase regarding the goalkeeper position, as negotiations continue for the potential return of Omri Glazer to the club. Glazer is working to secure his release from Red Star Belgrade, with the main obstacle being the formalization of his contract terms, which have been agreed upon in principle. The transfer is contingent on the sale of Giorgi Yermakov, with Maccabi Haifa demanding that Metalist Kharkiv improve their current offer, which is below three million euros.
Yermakov, 24, originally joined Haifa for just 100,000 euros and is expected to be sold for over three million euros. Once these two deals are finalized, Haifa plans to accelerate talks with Omri Nir'on, who is recovering from a shoulder injury. Following Nir'on's return, the club intends to loan out Sharif Kiyof to Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he agreed to terms about a month ago.
Glazer previously played for Maccabi Haifa from 2016 to 2021 before moving to Hapoel Be'er Sheva and then to Red Star Belgrade. The club is awaiting the completion of these transactions to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
