Seven Hezbollah Operatives Killed in Southern Lebanon Weapons Transfer Raid
Israeli forces killed seven Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon on Friday after they moved weapons near the security zone where IDF troops are operating. The strike was carried out by the Air Force, guided by Egoz unit forces, as part of what the military described as an effort to remove an immediate threat in the northern sector.
According to the IDF spokesman, the operatives transferred the weapons into a building in the al-Manzala area. The structure was being used as a fighting position and observation post against Israeli forces, and the men were acting there for military purposes while preparing an attack on soldiers.
The military said the combination of the operatives' activity and the weapons stored inside the building created a real and immediate danger to the forces in the area. The operation took place earlier in the day, and the IDF said it was aimed at stopping that threat before it could develop further.
