Israeli Air Force Kills Seven Hezbollah Operatives in Southern Lebanon

In a targeted operation aimed at removing a threat to Israeli forces, the Israeli Air Force struck and killed seven Hezbollah terrorists earlier Friday in southern Lebanon. The attack was carried out under the direction of special forces from the Egoz unit after the men were identified moving weapons near the area where the IDF is operating.

According to the IDF, the operatives were transferring arms into a building in the al-Manzala area of southern Lebanon. The structure was being used by Hezbollah as a combat position and an observation post with direct visibility on IDF troops in the area.

The military said the group was engaged in clear military activity from the building and was preparing immediately to attack Israeli forces. The presence of weapons inside the structure, together with the cell’s activity at the position, was described as a real and concrete threat to troops on the ground.

That assessment led to a decision to destroy the cell from the air. The IDF framed the strike as a focused security operation to eliminate an imminent danger to its forces.
