A 29-year-old Israeli was killed in a serious traffic accident in Chisinau, Moldova, after his car overturned into a ravine. Local rescue teams arrived at the scene and pulled him out in critical condition, but they were forced to declare him dead there because of the severe injuries.
The accident was described as a fatal crash in the Moldovan capital. The vehicle ended up overturned inside a wadi, causing catastrophic injuries that proved fatal.
Baruch Nidam, head of ZAKA's international division, said the organization responded quickly to the scene together with Rabbi Salzman. ZAKA said its team located the wrecked vehicle in the ravine and began handling the deceased with proper dignity while coordinating with local authorities.
ZAKA's international division is working with Menucha Le'ad and Israel's Foreign Ministry to bring the body back to Israel for burial as soon as possible.
