A 29-year-old man from Jerusalem was killed in a traffic accident in Chisinau, Moldova, after his car overturned into a ravine. Rescue teams arrived at the scene but were forced to pronounce him dead there.
ZAKA’s international unit is now assisting the family and working to bring the body back to Israel for burial. The organization said it is coordinating with local authorities, the family, and the Jewish community to handle the scene and advance the required procedures.
According to ZAKA, its team is accompanying the relatives throughout the process and is trying to speed up the release of the deceased and his transfer for burial in Israel “as quickly as possible and with proper dignity.”
