Israeli Actor and Pilot Guy Kapulnik Dies in California Plane Crash
Israeli actor and flight instructor Guy Kapulnik, 46, was killed in a small plane crash in California on Thursday. His family confirmed his death on Tuesday. A second woman was also killed in the crash. The Aeronca Champion aircraft went down in an open area near Hesperia in San Bernardino County around 10:00 AM. Emergency services pronounced both occupants dead at the scene.
Kapulnik, a graduate of the elite 669 search and rescue unit, was known for his roles in Israeli films such as "Lebanon" and "Room 514," as well as theater productions. He also studied at the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio in Jerusalem. After moving to Los Angeles, he continued his acting career while also pursuing his passion for aviation.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
Kapulnik's funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at 4:30 PM in the cemetery in Karmei Yosef, his hometown.
