Israeli Actor and Pilot Guy Kapulnik Dies in California Plane Crash
Israeli actor and pilot Guy Kapulnik, 46, was killed last week in a plane crash in California. Another woman was also killed in the incident. Kapulnik, originally from the community of Carmi Yosef, had been living in Los Angeles in recent years.
Before his acting career, Kapulnik served as an officer in the elite search and rescue unit 669. He later studied acting at the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio in Jerusalem and earned a degree in information systems from the Technion. During his career in Israel, he appeared in films such as "Room 514," "Tel Aviv Salsa," "Keep Me," and "Lebanon," as well as in theater and other productions.
Kapulnik later moved to the United States, continuing his acting career in film, television, and theater. Alongside his acting, he developed a passion for aviation, learning to fly in California, becoming a certified flight instructor, and teaching many students. Following his death, students and friends remembered him as a significant instructor.
