Sunflower Seed Product Recalled Over Incorrect "Salt-Free" Labeling
Dean Marketing and Roasting 2021 Ltd. announced an immediate recall on Tuesday of its "Sason HaKola" brand roasted sunflower seeds, labeled as "salt-free." The recall was initiated following a consumer complaint and subsequent investigation by the Food Service.
During the inspection, it was discovered that the product's labeling was inaccurate, and the sunflower seeds contained salt, contrary to the "salt-free" claim on the packaging. The affected products have expiration dates of January 26, 2027, August 27, 2027, and August 12, 2027, and a barcode of 7290019297642. The specific product is 150 grams of roasted sunflower seeds.
Consumers are strongly advised not to consume the product, especially those who are medically required to limit sodium intake or adhere to a low-sodium diet.
