Dean Marketing and Roasting 2021 Ltd. has initiated a voluntary recall of its "Sasson HaKolah" brand roasted sunflower seeds, labeled as "salt-free." The recall was prompted by a consumer complaint and subsequent testing by the Food Service, which revealed that the product contains salt, contrary to its packaging.
The company is urging consumers, particularly those adhering to a low-sodium diet due to medical advice, not to consume the affected product. The mislabeling poses a health risk to individuals who must limit their sodium intake.
The recall specifically targets 150-gram packages of the "Sasson HaKolah" roasted sunflower seeds, identified by barcode 7290019297642. Affected products bear expiration dates of January 26, 2027, August 12, 2027, and August 27, 2027.
