The company 'Dean Marketing and Roasting 2021 Ltd.' has announced a recall of its 'Sason HaKola' brand roasted sunflower seeds, unsalted variety. The Ministry of Health stated that a consumer complaint led to an inspection by the Food Services division, which found the product's labeling to be inaccurate. The seeds were found to contain salt, contrary to the 'unsalted' claim on the packaging.
The affected product is 'Roasted Sunflower Seeds Unsalted' under the brand 'Sason HaKola', sold in 150-gram packages. The recall specifically targets products with expiration dates of January 26, 2027, August 27, 2027, and August 12, 2027, identified by barcode 7290019297642.
The Ministry of Health is advising consumers, particularly those on medically restricted low-sodium diets, not to consume the product. In cooperation with the Food Services division in the Central District, the company is actively retrieving the product from marketing channels.
