Sunflower Seed Recall Issued Over Incorrect "Salt-Free" Labeling
Dean Marketing and Roasting 2021 Ltd. has announced a product recall for "Salt-Free Roasted Sunflower Seeds" sold under the "Sason HaKola" brand. The recall was initiated after a consumer complaint prompted an inspection by the Food Service, which found that the packaging label was incorrect and the product contained salt, contrary to its "salt-free" declaration.
The affected products are 150-gram packages with barcode 7290019297642 and expiration dates of January 26, 2027, August 12, 2027, and August 27, 2027. The company is working to remove the product from shelves in coordination with the Food Service in the Central District.
Dean Marketing is urging consumers who purchased the affected product not to consume it. This warning is particularly important for individuals who must limit their sodium intake or adhere to a low-sodium diet due to medical recommendations.
