Netanyahu Meets UAE President in Abu Dhabi to Boost Ties
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, visited Abu Dhabi on Sunday at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The visit, which included Israel's National Security Advisor, Mossad chief, and military secretary, focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional challenges.
The UAE's official news agency confirmed that President Al Nahyan received Prime Minister Netanyahu, with discussions centering on enhancing and developing the relationship between the two nations. This marks Netanyahu's second visit to the UAE in the past year, with the previous trip occurring during Operation "Lion's Roar."
Netanyahu's office also refuted a report by the Associated Press, which claimed Netanyahu had asked bin Zayed to deny allegations that the UAE president had warned Israel of an imminent threat from Hamas before October 7. Netanyahu's office described the report as false news.
The Prime Minister departed Ben Gurion Airport shortly after noon on a private jet, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 3:10 PM and departing at 7:10 PM, landing back in Israel just after 10:00 PM.
