Renowned Kabbalist Rabbi David Batsri Dies at 85
Rabbi David Batsri, a prominent Kabbalist and head of the "HaShalom" yeshiva in Jerusalem, has passed away at the age of 85. He collapsed at his home in Bnei Brak on Friday morning and was rushed to the hospital after resuscitation efforts. Despite being stabilized and transported to Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer, his condition deteriorated, and doctors pronounced him dead.
Rabbi Batsri was a descendant of the "Ben Ish Chai" and Rabbi Yehuda Feteh, both revered figures in Jewish mysticism. His son, Rabbi Yitzhak Batsri, had appealed to the public earlier in the day to pray for his father's recovery.
The news of his passing has cast a pall over the world of Torah and Kabbalah in Israel.
