Two men died in separate road accidents during Yom Kippur, Israel's Day of Atonement. In the Lower Galilee, a 31-year-old man was killed when a truck overturned in the Bu'eine Nujeidat local council. Separately, a 45-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident near Anatot.
In addition to the fatalities, 46 people were injured in various incidents. One man, around 50 years old, is in critical condition. A 37-year-old woman sustained serious injuries, three others had moderate injuries, and 39 people suffered minor injuries.
Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) treated a total of 3,322 individuals across the country during the 25-hour fast. Of these, 2,268 were evacuated to hospitals for further treatment. A significant number, 368 people, experienced fainting, dehydration, or general malaise attributed to the fast.
