Two Dead, One Critical in Yom Kippur Road Accidents
Two people were killed and 46 others injured in road accidents across Israel during Yom Kippur, according to Magen David Adom (MDA). The deceased were identified as a 45-year-old man and a 31-year-old man.
Among the injured, a man in his 50s is in critical condition, a 37-year-old woman sustained serious injuries, three others had moderate injuries, and 39 suffered light injuries. MDA emergency medical services treated a total of 3,322 individuals nationwide during the holiday. Of these, 2,268 were evacuated to hospitals for further treatment.
Additionally, MDA reported treating 368 individuals who experienced fainting, dehydration, or general malaise due to fasting during Yom Kippur.
