Israel's Ministry of Health has issued an urgent warning regarding a potential salmonella contamination in a "Moroccan Carrot Salad" product. The bacteria were detected in a 250-gram package of the salad produced by Class Food and distributed by A. Class Food Ltd. The affected product has a production date of September 7, 2026, and an expiration date of October 12, 2026, with barcode 7290100890639.
The discovery was made during checks conducted by the Food Service of the Central District Health Office. Consumers who purchased this specific product are advised to check their packaging and refrain from consuming it. In coordination with the Ministry of Health's Food Service, Class Food has initiated a recall of the contaminated product from retail stores.
The company has apologized for the incident and stated its commitment to maintaining product quality.
