Police Seize Gun and Grenade After Nazareth Car Chase
Police in northern Israel seized a handgun and a fragmentation grenade that were thrown from a vehicle during a car chase in Nazareth on Wednesday. Officers from the Northern District and Border Police attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle, but the driver fled. During the pursuit, officers observed an object being thrown from the car window.
Following the suspect's apprehension, police searched the escape route and discovered the firearm and grenade. The suspect, a resident of Nazareth, was arrested and taken for questioning.
His detention has been extended until September 23, 2026, as the investigation continues.
