Police Officer Dragged by Car During Suspect's Escape Attempt in Rishon LeZion

An unprecedented video captured the moment a police officer was dragged while clinging to the outside of a suspect's vehicle in Rishon LeZion. The incident occurred when officers approached a young man, sought for questioning in connection with theft and burglary allegations, and asked him to identify himself. The suspect then allegedly entered his car and attempted to flee.

One of the officers grabbed onto the car door in an attempt to prevent his escape. However, the suspect accelerated, dragging the officer who was left dangling from the vehicle. Shortly after, the officer fell from the car and sustained minor injuries. She was evacuated for medical treatment.

Following the incident, police launched an extensive search operation. The suspect was eventually located and apprehended after a pursuit. He has been taken in for questioning, and authorities are expected to request an extension of his detention from the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court.
