Officer Injured in Rishon LeZion During Suspect's Escape Attempt
A police officer from the Central District was injured in Rishon LeZion while attempting to arrest a suspect in his twenties from Or Yehuda. The suspect was wanted for questioning regarding theft. According to police reports, the suspect attempted to flee officers by driving his car. The officer sustained injuries when she tried to prevent his escape and grabbed onto the car door. The suspect continued driving until the officer fell from the vehicle. She was transported for medical treatment and described as being in mild condition.
Police later apprehended the suspect following a search operation conducted by officers.
